The Fall

I love the fall. The colors: reds, oranges, yellows, blends. The weather: sunny, not-yet-freezing, not-yet-snowy, cold. The months: September, October, November: School begins, Halloween happens, Thanksgiving is celebrated. There's nothing like taking a walk on a brilliant, sunny, crisp day surrounded by New England foliage. I sometimes wish every season were fall. But then it would lose its specialness.

    I agree. I am looking forward to taking an October holiday in the pacific northwest where they have fall. I live a half day's drive north of Montana. Here we nearly always have a white Hallowe'en, and we always have frost in mid september. So our fall is just too swift.
